Stepping Out Of The Bubble is James Krehbiel's journey into psychotherapy. Recalling a movie from the 1970's about a boy with immune deficiency disorder who had to live inside an oxygen-filled bubble totally free of all contaminants. The conflict that rises in this child's life as he ages reaches the apex when he falls in love and chooses to leave the safety of the bubble for a chance to live life more fully even though he knows he will most certainly die on the outside.
Krebbiel then speaks to our everyday emotional impasses (our own bubbles where we are safe, comfortable and secure). He challenges us to choose to live life more fully, having the courage to look at our own deficiencies (fears/demons) and walk through them, out of our own bubble.
With Stepping Out Of The Bubble James Krebbiel provides his readers in terms they can relate to, with a guidebook to help rediscover happiness long gone through self-defeating behaviors. Krebbiel calls upon some of the words of other great therapists that came before him and brings his readers through reflections on faith, pop-culture, parenting, growth and more.
