Due to a tragic turn of events, Karl, a young and brilliant painter is struck blind. Dumped immediately by his lover, he falls into despair and not even the thought of continuing his creative energies can bring him back to his usual self. Observing this from the heavenly realm, Clarius, a jaded muse, is sent to watch over him. Very quickly Clarius realizes that Karl is special and that this is not the normal muse/human relationship. As the golden rule of remaining an invisible presence becomes harder to adhere to, Clarius and Karl bond in a way that only true love can.
This book was a delightful read as the general theme of the story was enjoyable. Ms. Veinglory threw in a good dose of drama between Karls insanely whacked out ex and Clariuss sneaky fellow muse which only added to the extensive character development. One cannot help but get caught up in the action therefore proving that the action and pacing is perfect. I liked how Karls development as an artist continued which added a certain amount of realism. A personal highlight was the highly descriptive love scenes which were quite tantalizing to say the least.
So, in conclusion, I have to say that all important parts to a compelling matched up to form a
perfect whole. The underlying of the story was that true love exists. This added a refreshing
romantic twist to an otherwise hot and stimulating gay erotica story.
