Eddie Howell is a victim of his own innocence. No, I don’t think you could describe Eddie as innocent of anything even though he did get the short end of the stick because he didn’t have a large dirty word vocabulary in grade school. It just goes to show you, don’t say you have one if you aren’t completely sure you know what the word actually means.
Eddie is a victim of love. No, not really. He’s more of a victim of his own lust and desire to do the right thing. Okay, marrying a girl because she’s sexy and willing after only knowing her for a few months maybe isn’t the right thing to do.
I’m not really sure how to describe Eddie but we’ve all met a guy like him at some time in our lives. He’s a bit of a shy boy turned bad boy and he’s always getting himself into problems and circumstances that are complicated, hilarious (from the outside at least), typical Eddie situations. At times, you want to shake the guy and other times when you believe wholeheartedly that Eddie is just misunderstood.
