Oracle by Katherine Greyle is full of action and suspense that is combined with an excellent plot that will keep you on edge and turning pages. This futuristic novel is a perfect read for lounging around the pool, or tucked into a bag to take to the beach.

You will definitely not be disappointed by this book, which will appeal equally to male and female readers. Wow, I cannot say enough good things, I am thoroughly impressed by this author. The story is about Jane Deerfield, who is a computer technician in the year 2012. On Halloween an atomic bomb falls and destroys the present day world. The shock from the blast propels Jane two centuries forward into the future. In this future world, Doctors are known as kings and lucky for Jane she found by King Daken who helps her and nurses her back to health. There is a prophecy in this land that someone from the past will come and know how to use the old technology and become a Keeper of the Knowledge. There is also a race called the Tarveen who are going to destroy King Daken’s people.King Daken is trying to raise an army to fight them, when Jane stumbles across a computer that survived the war. She becomes the Keeper of the Knowledge and the Oracle that the prophecies foretell. Still in shock and horror that her world has been destroyed, she tries to convey to these people that war is not the answer, and tries to stop them from making the same mistakes that the people of her time did. If that is not enough, King Daken is not too bad to look at either, and he wants to make her his queen.

She is voted to the Elven Council, but politics and intrigue prevail, and tie her hands, she must convince them to do the right thing before it is too late.  This book has romance, suspense, intrigue, strong characters, excellent plot and action.  Awesome read.
