Owls and Flowers is a collection of poems about love written by the author. Though the voice of these pieces varies from caregiver through captive to seductress, the main theme of these works is love. Moreover, though the mood and general format of each piece also varies appropriately from soft and sensual through angry and frustrated to raw and passionate with each of these voices, the overall feel of the book is fantasy-like with a strong Celtic/ Nature belief system overtone.

I love that the author actually changes her poetry voice, style, and format to suit the mood of each piece while still managing to keep an overall cohesive connection of all of these works into one book. I also found it intriguing and refreshing that some of these works read like mini-romance stories while others had a more raw lustful nature to them.
