Led by Jules Jones, this science fiction tale of homoerotic fantasy simply could not be any hotter. Accurately described by the publishers, this story satisfies a wide range of interests from intense drama to intense pleasure.
The bulk of the action takes place between Nick Farr, a politician falsely accused of corruption, and Justin Hobb, his hired mercenary hacker. In the pursuit of the one and only truth involving the Protectorate’s desire to destroy their universe as they know it, sparks begin to fly between the two.
While they desperately try to keep things professional, they realize quite quickly just how attracted they were to each other. Against both of their better judgements, the fireworks go off and as a result, both are indulged in such sweet pleasure, which they hadn’t previously experienced. Even though disaster strikes and the dreaded Protectorate invades, the drama only adds to what turns out to be a love story.
It goes without saying that Buildup 2 Pulling Strings is a highly entertaining and stimulating story. My personal highlight is the scene with the padded bench; it was very interesting to see how so much can be done with so little. The story flowed from beginning to end and as the bond between the characters grows, one can see the connection turning into love. This fact is cemented by the surprise ending where, into beginning the last chapter, I was secretly hoping for.
