A Kiss at Midnight is a compilation of three short stories by authors Jules Jones, Alley Blue, and Emily VeinGlory. The first story is First Footer by Jules Jones. This is a romantic science fiction tale that shows that aliens can be surprisingly erotic.
Matthew was sulking glumly by the fire, as he looked around at all his friends. The party was a wonderful idea, a group of friends and fellow writers gathering together to celebrate the New Year in warm companionship. The only thing that was missing was his companion. He stared at the fire morosely as he downed another drink. Everyone had a significant other to celebrate with and he definitely felt like the odd man out when his date ended up not showing. His friend Marcia was trying to cheer him up by proposing that maybe some gorgeous hunk of male would show up as a First Footer and sweep him off his feet. Hearing a knock at the door at the stroke of midnight, everyone thought it must be one of the neighbors who wanted to make sure that their house was first footed properly. First Footing is a tradition where the first person to walk across the threshold after the New Year should be bearing a lump of coal and bottle of whisky to assure good luck for the remainder of the year. Matthew went to answer the door. He did find a tall dark man standing there, however this man had green cat eyes, rich black fur, and a long twitching tail. This story has it all, romance, science fiction, aliens, and sizzle. The story line is extraordinary but it is written so well that it draws you in and you really believe it could happen.
The second story is The Burning Man by Ally Blue. Zach pulled himself carefully along going deeper inside the cave. The statue that he found nestled there took him quite by surprise. The deity dated back to the preChristian era but the materials were more modern. He and his friend Meg mapped the cave and set out to show the others their exciting find. The lead archeologist decided to call in Dr. Jonathan Castille who is an expert in ancient religions. Zach met him at the airport and thought he was perfect. He was admiring his dark skin and darker eyes. He was not the only one getting turned on. Dr. Castille commented casually that the archeologist had been holding out on him. He turned to Zach and nonchalantly said that he was given his description by the archeologist so that he would recognize who was picking him up. He failed to mention that you were hot. This tale is entertaining and full of hot sensuality.
The Third story is a Werewolf tale by Emily VeinGlory. You can feel the thrill of the hunt and the passion of the wolf beautifully in this story. You will join Luke as he searches to find his perfect mate.
The stories are very different in style and subject matter, but all of them are written beautifully and illustrate the sensuality and seductiveness of love between two men.
