Succeed at Work Without Sidetracking Your Faith

Succeed at Work Without Sidetracking Your Faith examines the challenges and obstacles that Christian women face in the workplace. For the most part, these challenges are much the same as for anyone: figuring out if you really fit your job, dealing with office politics, trying to provide good customer service, not taking the job title so seriously, and trying to keep your integrity in the process. However, the author also states that people often leave their faith at the door when they leave for work each morning, an act that the author believes is wrong.

In some ways I wholeheartedly agree with the author’s assessments. I believe that all people (no matter what their faith) should line up all aspects of their life to match their integrity. In this way, we should strive to do work that matches our life intensions and have passion in all parts of our daily life. On the other hand, I really don’t think my colleagues need to be made aware of my beliefs. My spirituality is a personal matter and I don’t feel the need to missionary or convert others to my beliefs in order to make me more comfortable.
