Tabloid Nation is a truly bizarre book. At the start of this book, the author visits several situations that introduce a multitude of characters. These characters are the epitome of urban trash and plain weirdness that is best compared to those people appearing on the Jerry Springer Show. Slowly the author starts to bring these individuals together into one extraordinary storyline.
Tabloid Nation is one of those books where you find yourself appalled with the characters and their truly bizarre situations but you just can’t seem to put down the book somehow. Afterwards, you can’t say you enjoyed the story but it does seem to stick in your head nonetheless. This is probably a good book for one of those nights when your world seems dark and hopeless.
