Live to Tell About It is a fifty minutes instructional DVD with self-defence techniques for women taught by a woman. This DVD begins by stating the rising statistics on violent crime while showing a series of common assault types including an elevator scene, an attempted abduction, and an assault with a weapon. The instructor then teaches various methods on how to escape each one of these situations. For each one of these examples, the instructor not only describes the movements but also shows each part of the action in both step by step and regular time using her husband as the perpetrator.

Live to Tell About It is for self-defence practice. In other words, women are encouraged to practice the actions with a partner (their significant other, a friend, or their daughter) in order to make the actions reflexive and to fully comprehend how to place the right amount of force in any given situation.

I really appreciated that the instructor was a woman speaking to women. This gave me important insight into how to compensate for my body size and strength limitations.
