Body Work Shiatsu: Bringing the Art of Finger Pressure to the Massage Table
Carl Dubitsky
Healing Arts Press
ISBN: 0-89281-526-4
Non-Fiction, Health, Shiatsu
Reviewed By Qetesh

The director of Health Springs Clinic, Carl Dubitsky has created a comprehensive text on the Asian art of finger-pressure massage. He has taken the practice of Shiatsu, which until now has been confined primarily to the floor, and brought these techniques to the massage table. This book contains medical textbook illustrations of oriental anatomy, body structures, and hand positions. The photographs clearly show the correct placement of the hands on the patient for proper treatment techniques. This is a wonderful book that teaches Shiatsu bodywork on an advanced healthcare level. This is primarily intended to be used by schools, teachers, clinics, or practicing therapists. It would probably be too advanced for many people looking for a beginning book on massage or massage therapy. It is excellent for anyone wishing to delve deeper into massage, treatment, or alternative therapies.
