I’m Fifty, Now What?

Reviewed by Dr. Tami Brady

I’m Fifty, Now What? is a blook of the author’s writings over one year leading up to, during, and after her fiftieth birthday. In these blog entries the author looks at everything from serious subjects from reverse ageism, sexism, health issues, and empty nest syndrome to more humorous bits about her pet peeves, the potential of her becoming that Crazy Old Lady that every street has, and events of the past. I particularly like her extremely logical argument that women have always been good at math how else could we run a household on a shoestring budget and her conversation about the cannibal like qualities of modern food advertising.

Although people have been compiling articles into books for years, blooks are rather new on the market. However, if the entries of these blogs are chosen with a central point in mind while combining both serious and humorous subjects, such as occurs in this particular blook, the interest in such compilations will definitely grow.
