Revenant: Book One: Dawn of Destiny
Eric A. Radulski
Double Dragon Publishing, Inc.
ISBN: B002PEP4LE
Fiction, Adult, Epic Fantasy, Audio Book
Reviewed by Kathy Johnson

This complex fantasy follows Michael Tearzayne through his life. It begins with the story of his birth and his mother fighting for his continued existence. She finally launches him onto the sea in a fragile raft to save him from certain death. The story of his birth, his abandonment as an infant, to his being found by one of the legendary Knights of the Gray Moon, servants of the god Zythra, and being raised and trained as a Knight paint an exciting and suspenseful tapestry of ancient struggles of two diagonally opposing gods and the effects these influences have on mortal creatures.

As Michael reaches manhood, Bazulbax, Strength Pyrbearer, learns of Michael Tearzayne's existence and seeks to destroy him. Michael Tearzayne might be the world's greatest hope to end the War of the Gods, but before he can do that, he'll have to find the strength in himself to survive the terrible conflicts, attempts on his life, and finding out some truths about himself and those around him.

The varied characters, ranging from Michael’s mother to the angry goddess kept tension and interest high throughout the book. I enjoyed this book immensely because of the varying characters, action sustained throughout the book and the striking details included in each scene. I look forward to more books by this author. Some sexual content.
