As the baby boomers approach retirement many of them are entrusting their memories to paper and pen in the form of dynamic and personal memoirs. As a child of a conservative and traditional baby boomer, the Cornfield Heiress, A Memoir of My Lives and Loves was quite a shock to me.
The Heiress presents a personal and detailed account of her escapades from childhood to turning 60. From losing her virginity to a Marine to teaching French in rural Idaho and buying an uber-expensive mink coat, the reader will feel compelled to follow the whims of the Heiress- begging the question, when will she slow down?!
The Heiress is a firecracker who loves wine and men and continually pushes the limits on life and love, often bucking customs and the traditional role of women. With the intimacy of a diary she leaves nothing out in this memoir mimicking the full way in which she lives life. As an engaging summer read make sure to toss a copy of Cornfield Heiress into your beach bag!
