Review by Kathy Erwood

A woman suffering with amnesia and carrying a .38-caliber pistol makes for disaster.

Lynde Lakes makes another successful attempt at turning out a stupendous book with this sequel to Cowboy Lies. Lasso That Cowboy is filled with lust, hatred, innocence and love; all worth reading at any time of day.

Carrying a .38-caliber pistol and suffering with amnesia; Amber makes a daring turn by catching a ride with a truck driver to the middle of no where. The thought of accepting a nanny position in the desert surrounded by nothing more than mesquite trees makes Amber want to second guess her idea of running. But running from what? A dead man, the person behind the killing, or herself? Could she be the one that killed that man? No, no she mustn’t believe that. She must run to prove her innocents. Amber digs her heels into the nanny job and falls in love with the little precious girl, Alicia. Her father, Luke Ryan has fallen for the new nanny when danger approaches the ranch. The authorities have found Elmer, the truck driver who brought Amber to the Ryan ranch, tortured to death in an abandoned building, not far from the ranch.

Questions arise around Amber and her background. But she eludes them by questioning back. As Matt, Luke’s brother, seeks help from his former employer the FBI he finds out that Amber is wanted in the murder of her former boss. Amber’s world crushes around her as she is now wanted, her ride into the ranch has been murdered, the little girl she was hired to watch is now missing and to make things worse she finds out that everything is involved somehow or another with a mob boss who wants the information she has. She must fight for the little girl whom she has learned to love and her freedom. Will she live to tell her story?
