Rae Harris had worked with the FBI for seven years. During that time, she successful solved sixty missing children cases, the most of any FBI agent. Her secret weapon was her hereditary gift of psychic sight, giving her the ability to see the locations of lost things and people. After the accidental death of her partner and lover during a kidnapping case, however, Rae found her gift overwhelming. Trying to hide from her visions and her uncontrollable feelings, Rae started to drink excessively. Eventually, the drinking led to mistakes in her work, fatal mistakes. Rae quit her job with the FBI and moved back to her hometown to start her own book and herb shop.
Four years later, Steve Williams walks into Rae’s shop demanding her help in finding his kidnapped niece. Rae is afraid that helping the man might mean risking her own sobriety and sanity once again. However, Steve is a man used to getting what he wants.
