Twelve year ago, Elizabeth Noelle Williams (Beth), had been held captive and brainwashed by Harold Holden of Flora-Sky on a small island off the coast of Denmark. The brainwashing had been so complete that the United States Special Service Agent truly believed that her name was Farley-Fauna and that she was the property of her master. Her only hope had been Chris Stoddard and his dogged determination to find the love of his life.
Today, a few things have changed. Beth and Chris have retired to Canada, have two children, and a rocky marriage. After years of unhappiness, Beth finally decides to seek a divorce. Then, Flora-Sky pops back into Beth’s life. However, this time, the master’s son is in charge and looking for revenge.
Discovering Normal is a romance story that takes a look at what happens after the romance novel ends. Beth and Chris had this great romantic adventure where he saves her from the madness of a cult. After a while though, the dramatic effect of the adventure faded and real life took over. A few questions remain. Can love and romance survive the hassles and realities of real life? Was there ever any real love there in the first place?
