Blood Moon
A.W. Gryphon
A Sense of Wonder Press
ISBN: 1-59663-609-2
Fiction, Paranormal Suspense
Reviewed by Tami Brady

It is said that on Samhain on her twenty-eighth birthday, The One would be infused with the Ultimate Power. With this power she would overcome the Organization and bring back balance.

Over the centuries, the prophecy has fallen into legend. No one is really sure that The One will ever be born. Then, Ameila Pivens is born. Her natural powers overshadow those of the adults in her coven.

Tragedy strikes when Ameila is only seven years old. Her mother is murdered while undertaking a sacred ritual. Ameila calls upon powers that she couldn’t possibly understand but cannot save her mother. For twenty years, Ameila turns her back on the craft.

Blood Moon has a solid storyline with characters that actually react in realistic ways. Within the first few chapters, I found myself immersed in their world and caring about what happened to them.
