Archy the Flying Dolphin and The Vampire’s Curse

Archy the Flying Dolphin and The Vampire’s Curse

Reviewed by Dr. Tami Brady

Thomas and Suzy Parkinson are going to be spending six weeks with Uncle Fibber in Shanty Cottage while their parents go on vacation to Hawaii. Thomas is eager to hear about Uncle Fibber’s adventures and maybe have a few of his own. His mother warned him to be careful what he wished for…

Thomas wishes for a little excitement in his otherwise boring life. That doesn’t seem possible in Shanty Cottage. It’s in the middle of nowhere.

When Uncle Fibber tells the children about the Vampire’s curse, the smugglers, and about a magical dolphin protector, they think it’s just a story to scare them. Soon afterwards, strange things start to happen. Uncle Fibber starts acting weird. Then, the real adventure begins.

Archy the Flying Dolphin and The Vampire’s Curse looks like it’s set up for a whole bunch of stories based upon those of Uncle Fibber. I saw a lot potential in this storyline. However, there seemed to something missing to bring it all together.
