"Wake up, Jamie!"
"Not now, Mom," Jaime mumbled. "I'm flying."
So begins this well-illustrated children's book. At breakfast, Jamie's question is: "Mom, where do I go to buy a dream?"
On his way home, the magic starts working. A talking unicorn follows French toast for breakfast, and a star on Jamie's spelling test.
Jamie is well on his way to buy his dream.... And he's told as he wonders where he'll find his: "Most dreams know their owners. Why don't you just whistle?"
Something about the authors: "Susan Berger is a writer and an actress.... While she was growing up, Susan moved many times and the friends she took with her were books. Her favorite books had magic in them. Christopher Corbin is Susan's son. He is an actor and he likes to write comedy. He helped Susan write this book when he was nine years old. He still loves magic."
A fascinating story meant for five to eight year olds... but one that can be read at many levels.
