Men and women think differently. This seems to be the biggest challenge in any marriage. He ignores her. She can’t focus on just one thing.
We’ve all heard the stereotypes that apparently divide males and females. He wants sex, she wants to cuddle. He won’t ask for directions, she can’t read a map to save her life. She wants to talk all the time, he only wants to talk about sports. Like me, you probably cringe when you hear these overused and often erroneous statements.
Still, His Brain, Her Brain says that there is some truth in the apparent differences between men and women. We act differently not only because of environmental conditioning but also because our brains are wired in slightly different ways. Simply put, men are built to focus on the details of one task at a time while women are meant to multitask and see the big picture. Men fight or flight. Women tend and befriend.
