Have you ever felt a connection with an animal you can’t seem to explain? In Ask Now the Beasts Ruth gives you insight to the animal friends she’s had over the years. Each one played its own part in developing who she has become. Both wild and domestics can become teachers for us. Showing us how to love unconditionally and that life are not with out its risks. Ruth has a strong understanding of the animals she writes about. I think the hardest part must have been trying to find a way to put it all in order. Each story has a name or creature from the previous all linking together. I love the story Ruth has about the mamma cat and kittens that were living under her garage. I can relate to it since we have a few strays around here. They tend to band together and sleep in the box we have set up in the garage. Ruth shows that animals can be a vital part in our development an understanding of the worlds around us. Ruth shows you that sometimes it’s better to let the animals make the first move at friendship, instead of forcing it on them. By giving them time they realize that they can trust you. So if you are also someone who has a kinship with animals like Ruth, this is a book for you to read.
