Another World Another Time is a delightful limited edition printing of a collection of stories that appeared in an award winning newspaper called The Adirondack Journal.
These stories, by author Andy Ray, capture a time growing up in the Adirondacks during the mid- 20th century when things were a bit slower, and life seemed a little bit sweeter. You are invited to experience through the author’s eyes, the nostalgia of what life was like growing up in a simpler time.
These stories are ripe with the mirth, joy, drama, and tears of the trials of coming of age. Although, these stories were written about events that happened long ago, they still strike a chord of familiarity deep within all of us. These timeless stories are nostalgic reminders of where we came from and chronicle the events of the past that point the way to where we are going. They remind us that although times do change, and things get more progressive, there are some things that still stay the same. These moments captured by a masterful storyteller illustrate the events that define our youth and build our character. Rich descriptions make even the most trivial subject matter come to life and sparkle with wit and wisdom.
The cover along with several stories are beautifully illustrated by artist Mark Baumann to complement the authors style. This is a wonderful book about the joys of experiencing life to it’s fullest in all its aspects. Excellent read!
