Have you ever found yourself wondering what drove someone to do something? Like why someone was killing different females but yet each crime had a link to the previous?
In The Pawn Patrick bowers has the challenge of trying to catch a criminal psycho path that believe he’s a few steps ahead of the law. Even calls Patrick’s phone to welcome him back to the game. Talk about bold move, like leaving the different pieces to a chess set. I would have to say though if you aren’t into blood this probably isn’t a story you’d enjoy. Not saying it is bad since it keeps you intrigued and hard to put down. Mostly cause you keep waiting for guys next move. It isn’t an easy one to guess what’s going to happen it keeps you interested and going till the finish.
I say that Steven James has found himself an excellent lead character in Patrick Bowers. He isn’t a simple man there are some complexities that makes him good at catching the psychos. There is a need for men like him in the world, for as long as there are people with a few screws loose. Even if there weren’t men like Patrick would aide well in finding people and taking those that need to be off the streets and getting them help. The Pawn is a must read for anyone that likes suspense books. It’s one that keeps you guessing.
