Have you ever looked at your family? Then looked at the family you gained when you married the one you love? There are always a few that stick out in your mind in either family. Some in-laws are better then others, each having their own quirks. No one is perfect but in I love my in-laws, she shows you different ways to cope. I have to admit reading some of what she talks about applies to some people that I’ve met over the years. That you have some that are never happy unless they are the center of your attention or of the one you married. Some that always want what you have or go one better. I like the quotes she uses at the beginning of the chapters. Dina has a point when talking about being able to judge a book by its cover. Sometimes when you look at the guy or the girls parents sometimes you can see what they might become. Sometimes it happens other times people can be different from their upbringing. Dina also has a point about it sometimes feeling like everywhere you go your in-laws tend to show up. That the world will sometimes feel like a very small and close place.
I would recommend this book to anyone who has in-laws that drive them batty. Dina has some very reasonable suggestions on how to cope. With a few laughs tossed in for good measure.
