Fast paced and (when the occasion demands) deliciously frivolous, Man Candy is the story of Aaron Samuels, a college student who, to put it bluntly, celebrates jacking in his job by jacking off his boss, the straight half of a family-run construction and design company. But, of course, things don’t work out precisely how Samuels expects and that despite him having nursed a crush for the older man for as long as he’s known him. For which of the two men has he actually become involved with?

A tale of love that may or may not be unrequited, of confusion, guilt and shame, topped off with some remarkably well-realized erotica, Man Candy is the ideal book to while away a too-hot summer evening, unchallenging in the best possible way, and short enough (73pp) to get through in one breathless sitting. One more triumph for the prolific Ms Young.
