With sleep deprivation reaching epidemic proportions among young people, is it any wonder that they often suffer from behavioral, mood, focus and social problems? As the answers are sometimes difficult to find, and parents will do anything to resolve their child’s sleeping problems, Spivack and Waldburger are here to the rescue. Based on their experiences of being sleep coaches for Hollywood’s A-list infants, they offer their tried and tested success tips in this logical and helpful resource book. Covering topics such as creating your child’s custom sleep plan, step-by-step sleep, the truth about crying, napping, alternative methods for sleep learning, special situations, and the developmental issues affecting the sleep of babies up until toddler age, this will be an amazing find for any parent.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book and could see giving it to all of my friends who have young children. With such simple yet important tips on how to make a sleep planner around your schedule, the emotional stress from not being able to get your children to sleep, and the reality of possible marital strain resulting from sleep deprivation, I found the honesty expressed by Spivack and Waldburger to be a refreshing change. Therefore, I must thank the authors for putting together the first book I will seek out whenever I find myself in the beautiful yet difficult situation of being a new mom.
