When Marisa Peterson, a beautiful, young wife and mother tragically loses her husband and child, she begins to question the reason for continuing to live her own life. Her house haunts her with memories as she tries to stay afloat. Marisa begins to bartend to pay the bills. Although she goes through the motions, her mind and heart are still pained by her enormous loss.

During this time, a man, Max Fuentes enters her life quite unexpectedly. Alone in New York City, he is an art sculptor from Puerto Rico, he concentrates on his work hoping that his creativity will someday be discovered. His life has been filled with art, poverty, and redemption. Never love. When he first sees Marisa working at the bar everything changes. Both Marisa and Max must learn to forgive and give way to the Spanish lullaby.
