In this new book about back health, Ms. Porter examines the architecture and numerous complexities of the human body. Focusing on how cultural influences have led millions of Americans astray from their natural alignment, she will lead the reader to a new way of being which includes being pain free. Therefore, in this wonderfully refreshing resource, you will find easy to understand chapters on a variety of important issues pertaining to both physical and emotional attributes to the problem of back pain. With numerous photos, illustrations, and simple exercises, you will go back to the basics of sitting, standing, bending, walking, lifting, and how to reach in the most natural of ways.  As Ms. Porter’s focus is about “working in” rather than “working out”, this resource will also be a helpful tool for those in the health field.

Not only was this book informational, I found it quite easy to absorb which is a welcome change to most health books on the market. I particularly enjoyed the listing of helpful websites with contact details located in the back. Ms. Porter also highlights some of the most commonly asked questions about back health in such a way that one can not help but pick it up. So, if you are ready to change your bad habits for a happier and healthier spine, this book comes strongly recommended!
