From the tradition of Milton’s Paradise Lost, from which the author quotes between chapters, Mark Chevalier takes the basic premise of the angelic wars and places it in context of the here and now and gives it new perspective.
The play by play of the story was reminiscent of a cross between The Hulk and The Highlander but well used. Through the main character’s discovery that he has been and still is the Angel of Death, he both reinforces the idea that through our own free will, we, the humans of the earth, have created the modern problems we face and, though never directly stated, he implies to his idea of God’s secret plan and the havoc it has created in heaven and on earth.
I thought the story was a well thought out story and the writing very entertaining.
