Most of us never question what we believe or why. Often the concepts that we hold most steadfast that are the most valuable places to start questioning. Living Among Angels asks us to be open for one moment, be honest with ourselves, and come to a whole new way of thinking, living, and being. The potential is enormous.
I have to admit that the title of this book really put me off. Even after reading the text, I still don’t think the title completely reflects the work. I also feel that it will put off many readers who could gain a great deal from this information.
With that said, my reaction perfectly illustrates the authors’ point of the whole book. When I hear the word angel, I picture the winged messengers I learned about in Bible study class as a child. So when a new interpretation of this word is presented, I immediately put up a wall. This stoic resistance then serves as a barrier which impedes my exploration of my true self, my personality. Still, now I know where to begin.
