Although a wedding is normally a joyous occasion, Orrin can’t really put a smile on his face. His attraction for the beauty dancing in front of him drives him absolutely crazy. Nevermind that she is the sister of his best friend, Acteon, and also the daughter of Persius, the King of Minos who detests his father, the King of Mycenae, he can’t get her out of his mind.
Lexxus, the carefree and legendary beauty, tries to enjoy herself at her sister Maya’s wedding. Already knowing that the pressure will be on her to accept the hand of Juno Augustos, a nice but boring man that her father likes, she loses herself in dancing. Every now and then she can feel the stares of Orrin’s eyes bearing deep into her soul. Frustrated that he has the annoying way of making her feel hot and bothered, she decides to ignore him. Not knowing what she is going to do as she realizes she has feelings for Orrin, she
retreats to the privacy of her bath. Little does she know that a surprise waits for her, and that during the course of the night, she will learn to listen to her heart.
This short story was written in such a beautiful way one must admire Ms. De Winter for her storytelling talent. She made the characters come to life and one could only feel for the seemingly star-crossed lovers. The passion and love expressed was quite touching and
all in all, I would highly recommend this book for a quiet time when you want to lose yourself in another world.
