The vacation from hell, to say the least!
Michael and his lovely wife Theresa are eager for their vacation to Donia to celebrate the year 3000. The experience is that much more special given that humans have not yet been given the chance to visit Donia and the wait list for this particular excursion was 15 years. However, once on the planet, Michael senses that something is somewhat amiss. Immediately upon landing he loses his wife in the crowd only to later see her chatting up another man. Later, at the hotel, Michael misses his wife as she readies for a gala.
Then, things get plain weird. Michael is kidnapped by strange creatures that look more like a mad scientists experiment than actual beings, he finds out someone is trying to kill him, and then he finds out the truth about his wife. Theresa’s infidelity becomes the least of Michael’s problems when he finds out that she’s actually the Donian Queen- a termite like creature with no butt. How’d he miss that I wonder?
I thought that the storyline for Infested Humans was refreshing and humorous. I also liked the creativity shown in the different characters. I would have, however, liked to have seen more character development and more depth to the dialogues. I believe, this would have given so much extra to the book.
