This latest collection of delightful stories from Midnight Showcase will tempt and tease you like no others. Dedicated to the Monkey and Rooster of the Chinese Horoscope, these exciting authors will introduce you to the wonderful world of legendary myths. In Softly, Softly Catchee Monkey, Ms. Lorenz paints us the picture of an independent yet lonely woman who comes across a darkly handsome man who swears that she is the true love of his. Will she continue on her mission of stealing the priceless Chinese monkey statue, or will she let her heart lead her on an entirely different mission; that of love?
Ms. Turnley continues the suspense in Gorilla Tactics. Leading us on an adventurous story that is literally out of this world, an isolated woman with a secret past finds her passionate partner is the shape of a human ape while making good on the past. In Smoke and Mirrors, Mila Ramos shows us Dr. Ana Fiora, a brilliant surgeon who was left at the alter by her work colleague Dr. Cody Hastings. Determined to continue on with life, at least for her son, she has no idea of what is in store for her when the two are
forced to go to a conference together. Finally, Ms. Parkinson makes the reader think about life after death and all the possibilities in the shifting of dimensions. In Crow Like Me, we see that anything is in fact possible especially with love.
I found this book to be a book that was absolutely impossible to put down. With wonderful characters and story plots, all of these authors exhibit incredible story telling. Midnight Showcase definitely does not disappoint in this collection which I must recommend whenever you are in the mood for something special.
