At first the idea didn’t appeal to Hope and she couldn’t help but notice that he also had
commitments elsewhere in the form of a wife. Was this really a wise move for her to make after her recent heartache? Or, could this turn out to be the perfect situation for them both?
Becoming a Mistress is set in beautiful surroundings following a couple embarking on an adulterous affair. Whilst many will feel that this is a controversial subject in itself, I believe it happens to be a fact of life, no matter what the general opinion is.
Mike and Hope are portrayed as individuals that know what they want and need and this is executed well. Becoming a Mistress was a delight to read but despite the passionate liaisons between the pair, I did feel that the narrative lacked punch. However, this is my only gripe in an otherwise enjoyable experience.
