Sometimes people group together in different ways. In Gingersnaps, Delorys shows you how other peoples lives can change and affect people around you. For you can think that it does not but she proves that small things can create change. Sometimes it’s change that you want to have happened other times it’s hard to let go of the past. Sometimes you can think that your problems are as bad as it can get. Others will feel that theirs are worse, but if you put yours and theirs together, nine times out of ten you’d take your own back. For there is always someone with more problems that you have. Delorys has a way of making you think that something isn’t going to happen then makes it happen. That just maybe the ones you thought weren’t responsible were actually the ones that did it. Each one has their own personality that some you’ll like others, well not sure about, but together they make the story interesting and humorous. Together they help each other and sometimes giving the other sound advice. Each character has a change occur and learns to deal with that change.
The author has the ability to keep you smiling and laughing the whole way through. She shows you that no matter who you are there are always problems to be solved. You can be anyone and change still happens! Delorys Welch-Tyson is a fantastic writer; she brings you into her world and shows you what it’s like and helps you to understand each character’s problems, making you feel like you are really there.
