Boardwalk: The Novella

Boardwalk: The Novella by R.R. Vincench starts out with a man lying on the beach, dreaming of someplace else- when awake by a bright light, of course by the sun which a cloud has moved away from. Starting out simple, though questionable, this book has already begun making myself ask questions, and wonder. Though he is lying down and relaxed, you wonder where is he: what he can see, and what he thinks he can see, and why he can’t stand up and walk normal!  He struggles through the wall of the plant-life to get away from where he was, but it tears back at him. This book, this man seems to be walking but going no where and in the way the writer leaves it, you must read, you have to read to get to a point of conclusion. You, the reader, need to know where he is: because it fiddles with your head and then you find out. It’s just a nightmare, a horrid nightmare.  Skipping through the book, we go through Matthew’s day, as his dream becomes reality and start coming into one as slowly his world becomes black and blank. Though as many books do, it ends with happily ever after.  This book was very interesting to read. It brought up odd images and really played with your mind!
