Non-Fiction, Career, Law School
Reviewed by Vianna Renaud

In this book, Anna Ivey, the former Dean of Admissions at the prestigious University of Chicago Law School, leads the reader along the path of applying for law school. From the beginning stages of thinking about pursuing this career path to the final stages of being accepted into the school of your choice, this resource will help guide you through the various stages. Covering important areas such as thinking like an admissions officer, how to approach the application essay, having the best recommendations, the important resume, the essential interview, the price tag of various schools, and how to make your final decision, you can rest assured that Ms. Ivey has covered all of the major components.

This was a great book in the sense that it was extremely easy to use. Not only was the advice given logical and based on common sense, it was user friendly in manageable chapters and sections. Filled with great tips and suggestions for every stage along the application process, I can see this book serving as an important resource for those considering this path. In addition, with multiple questions to encourage the reader think about their future, coupled with honest advice on essays, resumes, interviews, and more, I can see this book serving as a real resource for university students everywhere.
