Other-Wise and School-Wise hits home. This guidebook/workbook for parents covers an amazingly huge amount of territory, with everything pertinent and highly poignant to parents that want to stay involved and in touch with their children.
Ms. Josel puts her wealth of knowledge and years of experience as an educator into creating and compiling a multitude of thought-provoking, self-exploring exercises for both parents and children to work with separately and together.
Other-Wise and School-Wise is chock-full of 28 separate sections from very general areas of parenting like focusing on all the areas that parents and children are a like and different than each other, to specific areas on values such as studying habits and cheating on tests. Ms. Josel also includes a tremendously extensive bibliography that can keep parents and children knee-deep in family-relationship building techniques for many years to come.
It is wonderful to have one handy resource where all this invaluable information is found in one place. A very worthy investment and a wonderful way to spend some quality time with those that are the closest to us, our family.
