The Dangers of Interspecies Dating is absolutely hilarious. The premise of the short story is that Tikki is getting ready for her date. Her mother, in universal mother-like style, has “the talk” with her. To make matters worse, Tikki’s mother even has an informational pamphlet for her daughter, brought to you by Galactic Birth Control (whose slogan is “It only stings for a little while!).
The contents of this pamphlet are a lot of fun. Here are just a few of my favorite suggestions.
“Number One: Be sure your companion is not a natural enemy to you. No one wants to end a date by being put on a spit and being roasted…”.
“Number Three: If your date wraps you in long strands of silk it is not a compliment”.
“Number Seven: Males of some species can be pushy, so bring your taser in case the word “no” is not in his species’ vocabulary”.
And you thought dating human males was hard enough, try interspecies dating. A great way to brighten up your day.
