Apartment Tour is a great short story, flash fiction piece, about a young woman leaving a bad relationship. The story starts off with describing a very common situation. The boyfriend had tried to burn her clothing in the bathtub. She realized that the relationship was abusive so she left her small town of Mitnal, Connecticut. She heads up the coast, finds a small town, and starts looking for an apartment. The place she finds, Celestine Apartments, seems like a dream. Then, in the last paragraph, the reader finds out the truth of the situation, the secret of Celestine Apartments, and who/what the main character actually is. I never even saw the twist coming.
