Aubrianna Sheffield inherited Chadwick Manor from her mother’s aunt. This historical manor is over 300 years old. Each spring, Aubrianna opens up the estate to the public who flock to see the botanical gardens and the intricate Chadwick Manor Maze.

Aubrianna finds solace in the maze’s inner circle sanctuary at the end of a long day. Then, something strange happens. A simple fall leads her back to 1857 to meet Lord Keane Hamilton Chadwick IV. At first, she is confused by how someone got onto the grounds after closing time and how much this man resembles the owner of the estate over a hundred and fifty years before.

Beyond the Maze is one of the best stories I’ve read in a while. The author brings the romance of the 19th century to the modern woman and adds in a touch of magical destiny.  I thought that writing the first part of the story from Aubrianna’s perspective and then writing the ending from Lord Keane’s perspective was sheer brilliance. I love forward to more stories by Canice Brown-Porter.
