Julie Reagan answers a personal ad from the Vancouver Gazette. This act in itself is so out of her normal character but there is something in the advertisement that touches her. The man from the ad, Jordan McIntyre wants children, not marriage, and paints a picture of a beautiful ranch in British Columbia to raise a family. Julie signs her answer to the letter LFC –longing for children.
Jordan gets plenty of answers to his personal ad. Most of them simply want his money and none of them really catch his eye. That is, until he gets an answer from Julie Reagan. Her outspoken nature, her independence, and their common goals (children with no personal ties) intrigue the rancher. During the interview, it also quickly becomes apparent that the two have some hot chemistry as well. Now, if they can just get past each other’s stubbornness to get to the good stuff.
I loved Natural Persuasion. The sexual tension drove the storyline and kept me totally immersed in the action. I connected with the characters and particularly enjoyed that they were nervous and anxiously questioned the sanity of what they were doing yet something (the desire to have a child, the hope of something they were missing, and perhaps even destiny) drove them to do things completely out of their normal character.
