Kaevaer travels through the desert to get to the outlands near his homeland. This individual is searching for his brother who has gone missing. Upon reaching the town, Kaevaer asks the slave girl assigned to him if she has seen a lone traveller who speaks like he does. The girl doesn’t seem very interested in the query but would prefer to help Kaevaer in other ways. It is during this passionate scene that the reader discovers that Kaevaer is not exactly human and Mellilia, the slave girl, isn’t exactly what she seems either. The situation is a set up meant to drain Kaevaer of his power so that he will become the sacrifice for Shaba’amlaillee, a sacrifice of pleasure.
Shaba’amlaillee is a fairly short ebook of only 44 pages. Yet, unlike many similar short length stories, the story didn’t feel rushed or have anything missing. The hot, erotic nature of vampire erotica and the sensuality of the Desert and its traditions.
