Marianne was a surveyor, she did not hate her job but it was not her first choice. It was one that she was guided into by her father. Now she worked for her father’s company and was in charge of surveying an area of forest that her father’s corporation wished to develop. Walking deeper into the woods, Marianne lost her way on the trail and began to become spooked by voices and whisperings in the treetops.
She thought her imagination was playing tricks on her until the voices started getting closer. She broke out into a run desperately trying to put distance between herself and whoever was pursuing her. She tripped and fell and then saw him. His body was chiseled and a rich earthly brown. His hair was long and flowed in rich green waves that matched his eyes perfectly. He was the most gorgeous thing she had ever laid eyes upon. He was a fairy and unbeknownst to Marianne, he had very pleasurable plans for her. He was determined to convince her to stop the destruction of the forest. The other fae wanted to kill her to send a message to her father. He took her under his protection to try another way. He was fully prepared to use every persuasive sensual means necessary to get his way and anticipated fully enjoying his task.
This book was such a treat and joy to read. The plot was fast paced and had several unexpected twists. The world of the fae came to life and I would have loved to have this story extend longer with a richer depiction of the fae world and culture. The connection between each fae and their tree was beautifully written. The erotica scenes hit right on with just the right amount of lust, romance, and magical elements to make the lovemaking between the hero and heroine an extraordinary read. There is one scene of group sex that was beautifully written and handled in such a sensual manner that I was truly impressed. This is a very provocative romantic story that will have you daydreaming about the possibility of what if and maybe you will pause the next time you are in the woods and listen for the whispers.
