The author of this book holds a degree in business management from Pepperdine University and has worked in the Aerospace and Pharmaceutical information technology industry. She has written a readable little book on “An Easy to Understand Guide,” as the subtitle has it, to “Make Your Idea Happen.” Bell uses “real life experiences in bringing a product to market.”. Likewise, the author included personal experiences of avenues that worked, troubles she faced, and what one should avoid. The purpose of the book is to inform the reader of what to expect from the conception of a product, to the consumer’s hand. The initial steps one takes with a new product are crucial in its potential development, marketing, and success; therefore, such information is most useful to the reader.
A slight down-side is that the book’s flow could have been helped by expounding further on the life experiences and ideas offered by the author (e.g. 14, 17. 19, 21, 27). But it would a shame to ignore the book on that account. The book is informative, easy to read, and offers the reader a step by step approach on how to get started on “your” idea.
