According to him, this book is intended to help junior to senior level female professionals excel in their careers. Aimed at encouraging women to evaluate their management styles, this user friendly guide focuses on helping women from all backgrounds to break into the ‘Old Boy’s Club.’ In this book, Mr. McKee tackles commonly accepted ideas of management behaviors ranging from a variety of situations such as acting like a power broker, to viewing the workplace as a potential pick up place for your future partner. In total, over 20 of these most common myths are discussed with useful checklists to guarantee easy absorption.
I thoroughly enjoyed this refreshing book that made me laugh at times with Mr. McKee’s straightforwardness. Not one to shy away from tricky topics, he supports his ideas by an easy to read format. I found that through this writing style and honest approach, anyone would be able to understand these important points. Therefore, due to the above reasons, I have to give this book my strongest recommendation. All women, and even all men, should read this; the business world needs this kind of truth knocking on its door!
