Dana Perrin was less than pleased when she got the frantic call in the middle of the night that tore her away from Zach’s hunky arms. Told to catch the next flight to California by her stressed out boss, she was well on her way when a freak accident involving a lightening bolt left her tottering between two separate worlds.
When Dana comes to, she finds herself in the middle of nowhere strangely drawn to an old English country home. From her first step inside this eerie house to her strange introduction to the extraordinarily rude butler Thorn, Dana senses that her life is about to
change. Sensing that someone is following her and even touching her when she sleeps, she becomes determined to find Franz Staresini, the mysterious Master of the house who appears to have been ignoring her. Armed with the sudden realization that her life is following that of her cheap romance book she was reading before the accident, she sets off to find the truth even if it goes against the Book of Fates.
This book was well written by Ms. Godwin and I could feel myself on the edge of my seat countless times throughout the story. The characters were delightfully endearing and one could feel the true passion between Dana and Franz. The paranormal element only added to the drama. I particularly enjoyed the compelling ending where I could only smile as true love persevered; definitely a fitting story for the cynic in us all!
